Rainbow Bean is a trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• When enemies are close enough to Isaac, he has a luck-affected chance of activating the effect of a random bean item.
• The fart that can be expelled is weighted based on the type, and is as follows:
  • Butter Bean: 43% chance
  • The Bean: 30% chance
  • Linger Bean: 13% chance
  • Kidney Bean: 13% chance
  • Mega Bean: 0.5% chance
  • Wait What?: 0.5% chance

Notes

• The range at which enemies need to be within to be able to activate a fart is approximately equivalent to 2 grids away.
• The rate at which farts can be produced when near enemies is at minimum every 1/3rd of a second, and a maximum of 10 seconds, when not below 0 luck.
• The base chance for Isaac to fart every 1/3rd of a second is based on the formula Luck × 2 + 5.
  • This results in a 5% chance at 0 luck, and a 100% chance at 48 luck.
  • Having negative luck will reduce the chance of creating a fart, capped at a 1% chance — the maximum rate at which a fart is guaranteed to be created is also increased by 1.66 seconds for every negative point of luck.

Interactions

• Trinket Mutipliers: Increases the range at which the farts activate when near enemies by approximately 1 grid, for every additional trinket multiplier effect. No effect on the radius of the farts themselves, or the rate at which they are created.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Rainbow Bean rerolls it into The Middle Hand.
